Who we are

Sherpa Property Group is a private development company based on the Gold Coast, specialising in innovative projects along the coast from Cabarita in the south to Coomera in the north. As a private company, our decisions affect us directly – both financially and reputationally. We believe the best way to achieve our aims is to provide purchasers with exceptional value with a unique product offering.

Our development projects are a mixture of land estates and finished product, either family homes (through our Freedom brand) or owner-occupier apartments (through our Perspective brand), all in the most sought-after locations.  Both brands are built around the wants and needs of the end-user. Freedom has reintroduced beachfront living with all the advantages that come with a brand new separately titled house. Perspective properties offer a new take on coastal apartment living, using innovative design to maximise liveability for the end user. At Sherpa Property Group, it’s about quality not quantity. We take an approach that is selective and purposeful while keeping integrity in all our business dealings.

With more than 50 years experience in the industry, the team at Sherpa Property Group have the essential expertise to deliver vibrant and diverse opportunities to live a life of freedom, with location and lifestyle being at the core of our projects. We oversee all aspects of each development from the initial concept, detailed market research, project viability, strategic site acquisition, architectural design, planning, documentation, project management and construction right through to project sales.

Our Team

Christie Leet

CEO

Christie began his professional career as a 21-year-old in 1988 by purchasing LJ Hooker Proserpine where he quickly found a passion for sales and property. Christie was recognised for his individual sales achievements, including LJHooker Hall of Fame. In 1997, Christie purchased PRD Whitsunday and studied the project marketing and development avenues offered by the leaders in project marketing at PRD. During this time, he also grew his leadership skills and the office was ranked in the top 10 offices nationally for 22 of the 23 years, six years at number one. The office has numerous awards, including REIQ Large Agency of the Year and the REIQ Corporate Innovation Award.

Christie sits on various boards, including REIQ, Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Whitsunday and the Whitsunday Development Corporation. He has an active involvement in strategy, site acquisition, product mix, funding and setting the sales and marketing strategy. He also has a firm belief in the value of research and providing a product that buyers want with a good value proposition.

Ben Woolhouse

Development Manager & Site Acquisitions

Ben has worked in the development industry for 15 years with a background in carpentry. He has predominantly worked in south-east Queensland but has also worked on projects in North Queensland and in the UK.

Ben’s role with Sherpa includes bringing projects from inception to delivery and everything in between. He understands the importance of creating homes – where families are raised and life is lived. Providing that liveability for the user is what inspires him: “I enjoy working with Sherpa Property Group as we always think outside the box and deliver products that are different and lend themselves to lifestyle choices that are often unavailable.”

Dominic Power

Development Manager & Analyst

Over the past 12 years, Dominic has worked in the property industry in Development, Advisory and Valuation. After completing a Bachelor of Property Economics and Master of Project Management, Dominic became a certified practising valuer and associate member of the Australian Property Institute.

His valuation experience provided a foundation in real estate throughout QLD and NSW which was further strengthened in his corporate real estate advisory experience with EY.

Dominic’s experience in development has comprised retail, commercial and residential projects in Northern NSW and QLD where he managed the design and delivery of retail centre expansions, and a large land subdivision project in Sawtell.  Dominic has enjoyed delivering smart, aesthetically pleasing property solutions that embrace the natural environment and activate the location: “I’m pleased to work with Sherpa who shares my appreciation for a healthy work-life balance delivering unique, considered and desirable projects in a beautiful part of the world.”

Sandi Webber

Senior Sales Consultant

Sandi has previously worked for CBRE in Project Marketing and also has nine years experience in residential sales on the southern Gold Coast – predominantly Tweed to Burleigh Heads. It is that wealth of experience and depth of knowledge about the local area that makes Sandi the go-to person for buyers looking for the perfect lifestyle.

At Sherpa Property Group, Sandi is the Sherpa Sales Consultant for the Scenic Ridge and Freedom Rainbow Bay projects. Her favourite part of the job is being able to work with a range of buyers across two very different projects and finding them the perfect match for their future home.

Sandi appreciates the fact that Sherpa is very innovative and responsive to market trends and “thinking outside the box” for future needs and wants.

Kim Nunn

Finance Officer

Kim has enjoyed more than 17 years in finance-related roles, the majority of which have been in the property development industry. Being the Finance Officer for Sherpa Property Group affords her the opportunity to be an integral support to the team by efficiently delivering in all areas of finance and administration, including the day-to-day maintenance of the group’s financial records, payroll, cost reporting, budgeting and trust account management, in accordance with legislative requirements and the organisations’ policies and procedures.

Kim is excited to be associated with Sherpa Property Group as an innovative, value-driven team whose focus on achieving results with integrity is something she is proud to be a part of.

Values are the bedrock of a high-performance culture. My team at Sherpa really push the boundaries to be innovative while not compromising on our integrity. Knowledge is power, which means we are challenging our thinking and adapting to the demands of current property markets as well as the economy.
