The ‘Ken story’ shortlisted for awards

The “Ken story” is one of our favourite tales in the Sherpa office. Now Ken’s new home is a finalist in the 2022 The Urban Developer Awards for Industry Excellence.

Our Perspective 202 project in Bilinga started with a local bloke (that's Ken) sitting on the balcony of his original beach home, looking out at the waves and the passers-by. Ken had been approached by countless developers and real estate agents, wanting to buy/sell his home for redevelopment. The problem was that Ken loved his beachfront location and didn’t want to move.

With the Perspective project, he was able to get a good price for his land, buy into the new development and take a well-deserved holiday while it was being built. It wasn’t long before Ken was back at Bilinga, sitting on his one-per-floor apartment balcony (about 30cm higher than his old 2nd storey verandah) and taking in the same scenery. Now, though, he is enjoying the luxury of the Gold Coast’s most liveable floor plans, which were meticulously created with HAL Architects.

The builder, 5Point Projects, did an outstanding job of delivering the project on time and on budget, as well as to the high standard of finish expected by Sherpa and our new owners.

Perspective 202 was shortlisted from a record number of entries in one of the more than 20 categories for this year’s awards. 

It's a finalist at this stage, but Ken's already a winner.
